Welcome to the Sixth Form

Chatham & Clarendon Grammar School is a well-established, successful 11-18 grammar school in Ramsgate which merged in January 2009. There are approximately 1,400 students on roll and the school has operated a joint mixed Sixth Form – the Chatham & Clarendon Sixth (CCVI) - since September 2010. The overwhelming majority of Chatham & Clarendon Year 11 students stay on into the Sixth Form and it is also a popular choice for Year 11 students across Thanet/East Kent – roughly a third of CCVI students join us from other local secondary schools. With almost 500 students, we have the largest Sixth Form in Thanet.

The Chatham & Clarendon Grammar School offers a unique learning environment, with a positive ethos. It is based within distinctive, imposing buildings with a proud history of educational excellence, yet it combines both traditional values and modernity. Visitors to the school, and those who know it well, are invariably complimentary about the special and friendly atmosphere here. This prospectus and our website can only offer a glimpse of what our Sixth Form is all about – we are always happy to show visitors around the school, and answer any questions.

  • You are not required to provide a personal statement-simply enter a full-stop in this section.
  • You do not need to provide details of your academic qualifications (we know these already!)
  • If you have lost or forgotten your unlock code, Mrs Clements has duplicate copies.
