Through the study of French and Spanish at CCGS students will be enriched with a knowledge of other cultures, they will gain the confidence to communicate in another language and thrive in a global world as independent linguists. 

At CCGS all students study French in year 7, French and Spanish in years 8 and 9 and they then chose which to study for GCSE, students also have the option to study both French and Spanish at GCSE should they wish.  A level French and Spanish are offered in the 6th form and are increasingly popular options for students with a variety of career ambitions.  Students will be also offered enrichment activities during their time at CCGS so that they can learn more about the cultures of the languages that they are studying.
