Students’ artwork selected for the John Downton Awards

We are proud to announce that this year, artwork by eight of our students at CCGS has been shortlisted for the annual John Downton Awards. The exhibition, run by Kent County Council, includes work from schools across the county and showcases art from the most talented students in Kent. 

Congratulations to: Poppy Reid Croucher, Rebecca Kemp, Alyssa Watford, Lilia Jones and Ella Brooks, who were all selected for the 11 to 16 category.  Alexandra Townsend-Jones, Melissa Cardy and Patrick Scott also had their work selected to be exhibited in the 17 to 18 category.

This year’s exhibition will take place in the County Gallery, County Hall, Maidstone, from 20th November 2023 to February 2024, with a private view and awards ceremony on Thursday 7th December 2023.
