Maths In Motion Club

Maths In Motion Club is open to all year groups in the school and we have a good mixture of girls and boys who regularly enjoy attending this weekly Wednesday lunchtime club.

The Club is an eye opener into the applications of Mathematics outside of the classroom. Pupils can work together or independently setting up a virtual car solving an optimization problem. They then use a range of mathematics to do their pit team briefing measuring the track, working with scales and calculating the correct lap to do a stop depending on the weather.

CCGS have won various Racing Series Season National Races gaining a good reputation over the years including holding the status of being a Centre Of Excellence. The Club inspires pupils to enter the engineering field and is an impressive asset to include on a personal statement when applying to top Universities.
