Christmas Jumper Day – CCGS 6th Formers

20th December 2012

With Christmas spirit all around it’s not a surprise that the Christmas Jumper Day on Friday the 14th of December was such a success. With Reindeer’s, Santa’s, and penguin’s all around it certainly livened up the stress filled students throughout the school. With people tying tinsel around their hands and waists, and Christmas Jumper Day stickers being handed out, it led Bethany to declare the event “a success”. Fiona, Francesca and Bethany went round the forms and classes, to collect money for the charity ‘Save the Children’, to help innocent young children in over 120 countries. The money will help towards saving lives and helping the fight for children’s rights.  Through the efforts of these Sixth Formers an amazing £200 was raised for the charity. It was a great day with students being so ready to give, with some even paying double or triple the amount than they were asked. I believe the event created a festive feel and has shown how people come together at times when others are in need. It was a magical event and I truly hope the charity can help the children that need it most.
