Local MP Craig Mackinlay’s visit to the school

19th December 2016

On 18th November Craig Mackinlay MP visited the school.  He had a tour of the Chatham site and the 6th Form centre and then met with students from Years 7-13 for a question and answer session.

Mr Mackinlay started the meeting with the students by outlining a ‘typical’ day for an MP and then opened the floor to take questions from the students.  Although a little shy at first they soon got into their stride and asked him questions on a diverse range of topics from lowering the voting age to 16, the impact of BREXIT, the future of Manston Airport and live animal exports.

It was a really valuable experience for the students and we were very grateful to Mr Mackinlay for giving up his time to come and meet our students.
