MakeIT wood competition

On Friday 19th July we took students to the MakeIT nationwide awards day. It was a great day for CCGS design. We had four runners-up awards, six prize winners, an overall competition winner, and a teacher of the year award.

MakeIT wood competition...

Amy Coles - Won year ten Makeit wood category.

Joel Rogers and Hal Mutton came runners up in the year ten Makeit wood category..

Harry Benwell won the prize for "Use of materials/artistic design/detailed work booklet."

Harrison Mogg-Walls won the award for "Best model produced."

Todd Ballantine won the prize for "Highly commended design."

Luke Slaney-Hewitt won the year twelve category.

Amy Coles was the overall competition winner, and is visiting a national furniture manufacturer in October to receive a prize!

Stan Chick won the year twelve category, which is amazing for a year eleven student!

Fynn Ballantine and Ryan Jowitt were runners up in the year twelve category.


A big thank you to AJT and MAS for all their hard work and efforts, without the enthusiasm of staff these achievements would not be possible.
