GCSE Exam Results Success

School leagues tables based on last Summer’s GCSE results were released  earlier this term.  Our 94% 5A*-C (with English and Maths) placed us above the other two local grammar schools.  Data from the Fischer Family Trust (an educational research organisation) placed us in the top 5% of school nationally for our attainment.

As a grammar school, we expect our attainment to be well above the national average, but what was very pleasing this year were our results in terms of ‘Value Added’.  Value added looks at the progress students make from their KS2 starting point.

The Specialist Schools Trust (SSAT) have informed us that we have won an ‘Educational Outcomes Award’ as our Value Added progress puts us in the top 20% of schools nationally.  We are the highest performing school in Thanet in terms of attainment and value added.

All the above is testament to our hardworking students and staff.  Our current year 11 are in the run up to their GCSE exams and we are hopeful that all their hard work will pay off and they will achieve similar results.
