The Thanet under 16 schools netball crown has been won by the girls from the Chatham and Clarendon Grammar Federation in Ramsgate.

The side scored notable victories including a 9-1 victory over Ursuline College and a 9-0 drubbing of Charles Dickens School on their way to the title.

As a reward for their performance, the side will be taken to London’s 02 arena in March to watch to England netball squad in action.

PE teachers Kate Rockall and Carol Carpenter have worked with this team since their early day in Year 7. Mrs Rockall said: “They have great potential and will undoubtedly move on to make our under 18 first team squad extremely strong.”
The competition, which was played on a league basis, was held at Hartsdown Technology College in Margate.
