Fairies, Fitness and Fun

29th March 2011

Clarendon House head Debra Liddicoat raised £50 dressed as a fairy for the day as her students raised around £700 towards Comic Relief.

While she was joined by groups of girls as fellow fairies, a team of boys glammed it up as The Spice Girls in a sponsored talent show.
Lunchtime fitness and dance sessions in the main hall, a sponsored non-uniform day, cake sales and the sale of 120 red noses contributed towards the charity total.
Head teacher Mrs Liddicoat said: “The students really embraced Red Nose Day this year and there was a great atmosphere around the place with everyone doing their bit to raise funds.”
The student organisers of the charity activities were Ashlea Rye, Sian O’Connor, Olivia Newcombe, Katie Kelley and Masuma Aktar, whose work is part of their AS Level Citizenship course.
