Chapman Cup – Tuesday 16th July 2013

24th July 2013

The Chapman Cup, the science and technology competition, this year involved House teams from Years 9 and 12 taking water out of a bin without entering a 2m radius exclusion zone, loading it into a trolley and transporting it to a balance, where it was used as a counter-balance in order to estimate the weight of Mrs Parkins.

After a shaky start, the Thomas-Sharman team eventually managed to come the closest, within 0.54kg of the actual weight. In second place was Mann-Somerville closely followed by Rothschild-Pearce and finally Knight-Heath. Well done to all that took part!
