Staff

The Faculty of English has a team of committed staff - teachers who believe in creating the best possible atmosphere of support and encouragement for all their students to achieve.

Mr. A. Harris – A full time member of the English Faculty who is also Head of Thomas/Sharman. (Upper School). Mr Harris teaches across the key stages and has a special interest in Film Studies which he also teaches at ‘A’ Level.

Mr. A. Haywood – A full time member of the English Faculty who is also Head of Knight/Heaths (Upper School). Mr Haywood teaches across the key stages. He also has a special interest in Media Studies which he teaches at ‘A’ Level.  A filmmaker himself, he regularly participates in national filmmaking competitions.

Ms. V. Moody – A full time member of the English Faculty who is also Head of Thomas / Sharman (Lower School).  Ms Moody teaches English across the key stages and also teaches Drama at key stage 3 & 4. At ‘A’ Level she also teaches Theatre Studies. She is assistant director, stage manager and actress for Platform Theatre and Film Company and is an actress and runner for aTrap Film Company.

Ms. G. Magill – Mrs Magill teaches in the English Faculty but also teaches Drama across the Federation. She teaches English, Drama and Theatre Studies across all the key stages. She is a keen writer herself and supports students in their extra-curricular Creative Writing.

Mr. N. Kelly – Mr Kelly is a full time member of the faculty who began teaching at the school in 2008 after a successful career teaching English as a foreign language in Japan, South Korea and Central Europe. He teaches English across the key stages. He is also 2i/c with a responsibility for key stage three.

Mr. L. Fountain – Mr Fountain is a full time member of staff and teaches English across the key stages. He is 2i/c with responsibility for KS4. He also has a special interest in Media Studies which he teaches at ‘A’ Level. As the Gifted and Talented co-ordinator, he is responsible for monitoring the educational provision of our most able students.

Mr. A. Gillin - Mr Gillin re-joined the school in 2013 after many years working as a Head of Sixth Form and Head of English. He teaches English at CCGS and has a special interest in Theatre Studies and Film Studies, both of which he teaches at 'A' level.

Mrs. T. Reeves – Mrs Reeves is a part- time member of staff who teaches English at key stage 3, 4 and 5. She also has a special interest in Film Studies which she teaches at 'A' level.

Mrs. M. Sutton-Jones - Mrs Sutton-Jones is a full time member of staff who joined the school in 2002. She is Head of the English Faculty across the Federation. She enjoys teaching English across key stages three, four and five and also has a special interest in Media Studies.

Mrs. A. Harris – Mrs Harris is a full time member of staff who has returned to the school in 2012. She teaches English across the key stages and is the Whole School Literacy Co-Ordinator.

Dr. A. Sutton-Jones - Dr Sutton-Jones joined the school in 2013 after having worked most recently in further and higher education. He enjoys teaching English at all key stages and has a special interest in History and Theology. He is a keen writer and is published in his areas of expertise.

Mr. R. Rosedon - Mr Rosedon joined the school in 2013 after many years working as a Head of English in the local area. He teaches English and Drama at CCGS.

Mrs. M. Gregory - Mrs Gregory is a part time member of staff who teaches English. She has an MA in Creative Writing and is keen to support students in this area.
