School Arrangements and Key Workers

Dear Parents/carers
As promised I am contacting you to let you know the arrangements for the school for the next week and a half up to the Easter break  (Wednesday 1st April). The Government has now published their list of key workers, which is quite extensive and seems to suggest that only one parent has to be a key worker. This is in addition to vulnerable students which is defined as CHIN CIC, students with an EHCP or a social worker.
These are the Headings:
Health & Social Care
Education & Childcare
Key Public Services
Local & National Government
Food & other necessary goods
Public safety & national security
Utilities, communication and financial services
However, please click on the link for the full list.
I need you be aware of some key points made by the Government, they have made it clear that  if it is at all possible for children to be at home, then they should be.
The government has asked parents to keep their children at home, wherever possible, and asked schools to remain open only for those children who absolutely need to attend.
We will continue to do the best by your child, however in all likelihood the care we will be providing is supervision rather than education.Students in school will be completing the same work that has been set for all students and will be both on the website and emailed out to students.
If you fall into any of the above categories and want to take up the offer for your child to attend school, then could you please complete and return the attached form to the correct email address (see form).
We will be assessing the uptake in line with the Government guidelines with regard to social distancing. We are awaiting guidance from the Government with regard to what % of the school population we can safely accept.
